This burger could have been four stars with just a few small tweaks. First, better bun. It came on a ciabatta bun, just plain, kind of falling apart. Second, better seasoned meat. They cooked their burgers perfectly, obviously high quality meat – just needed a little seasoning.

That being said, the place is great, right on the water. The rest of the menu looks delicious. Good beer and wine list. I would highly recommend for a nice lunch in Sausilito.

Le Garage is a nice french restaurant located on the waterfront piers in beautiful Sausalito, California. The other food on their menu is quite good so when I saw the Kobe Beef burger, I knew that I had to peep it. Unfortunately when the burger arrived, it was topped with a sour dough bun. Those of you that follow my peeps will know that the bun is a critical part of the burger for me. It needs to be soft and it can't get in the way. This bun….well lets just say that my steak knife had a hard time cutting through it. That' s an automatic star deduction. As for the rest of the burger, it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the kobe beef was very tender, and the toppings were fantastic. Unfortunately the meat didn't carry much flavor.

Le Garage has a solid burger on their hands but in it's current form it's not something that I would go out of my way to order again. If they fix the bun and add a little seasoning I would give it another chance.
