Culver's is a Wisconsin-based chain and those midwestern roots show in the artery exploding, taste-bud overwhelming way they cook their burgers. They know what your caveman-trained tastebuds want and it is fat, extra hot greasy fat poured into your burger, in this case in the form of butter or lard or whatever golden magic sauce they are slathering on the grill. The handmade patties are nice, although a bit thin for my taste and while this thing hits the spot it feels like a bit more of a guilty, artery-choking pleasure than other comparable burgers. All the franchises have a 50's diner (burger and milkshake) kind of vibe which is also cool. Pretty solid burger for a chain, similar too but more juicy than Wendy's
